CAREER COUNSELING

Career Counseling is a process that will help you to know and understand yourself and the world of work in order to make career, educational, and life decisions. It is sought when an individual needs confidential support and advice about areas of study and possible career movements, developments or changes. The goal of Career Counseling is to not only help you make the decisions you need to make now, but also to give you the knowledge and skills you need to make future career and life decisions.

Who needs Career Counseling?

Since career development is a lifelong process, Career Counseling can be appropriate for students, job seekers, employed, and alumni among others. The earlier you start making intentional decisions about your future, the better prepared you are likely to be. It is therefore advisable especially for college joining students to seek guidance from a Career Counselor.

Why Seek Career Counseling?

Career counseling helps individuals acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to identify career and educational options, explore alternatives and make informed decisions that relate to future career direction.

A Career Counselor therefore can guide you on how to:-
  1. learn more about yourself
  2. improve on decision making skills
  3. gain educational and occupational information
  4. improve employment marketability and opportunities
  5. conduct a job search
  6. cope with career challenges and transition issues
